SACRAMENTO –  The Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association (APAPA) announces the hiring of Charlotte Danielsson who has joined the non-profit organization as the National Operations and Advocacy Director out of the headquarters office in Sacramento. Charlotte has been a longtime community leader with APAPA for nearly a decade, where she has led and organized past community forums and town halls with thousands of attendees.

“I am thrilled to join APAPA with a dedicated team of more than 41 volunteer-driven chapters and has been instrumental in amplifying the voices of our Asian American community for the past two decades. We continue to advocate for our API community and continue to embark on the next chapter of this wonderful organization.

“This year APAPA is focused on action including pushing for K-12 legislation which has received bipartisan support and legislation to address the rise in hate crimes. In May, APAPA will once host another momentous event at Yin Ranch to celebrate Asian Pacific Islander American Awareness Month where we will honor several prominent leaders, among them Assemblymember Phil Ting, chair of the Assembly Budget Committee,” said Charlotte Danielsson, National Operations and Advocacy Director.

“Charlotte has been instrumental in helping to elevate APAPA’s name and recognition over this past year. On behalf of the National Governing Board, we welcome Charlotte to the APAPA family and we look forward to her leadership in amplifying our voice in Northern California and across the country,” said Mary Yin Liu, APAPA’s National President.
