APAPA Welcomes Two Passionate Community Leaders to
the National Governing Board
SACRAMENTO - The Asian Pacific Islander Public Affairs Association (APAPA) announces two experienced and committed leaders who recently joined the APAPA National Governing Board (NGB). Starting January 2022, Henry Yin has been named as Chair of the APAPA National Governing Board and Irene Li has joined as a new board member. Former NGB Chair, Ken Fong, will now serve as an honorary board member.
APAPA founder C.C. Yin released the following statement:
“The APAPA NGB is grateful for outgoing chair Ken Fong who has generously served with great dedication and commitment to support our leadership teams and chapters across the country. We cannot thank Ken enough for his gracious leadership and strong devotion to the APAPA mission."
"The new year also means new opportunities as we welcome Henry Yin and Irene Li to the APAPA NGB in new positions. Both are no strangers to APAPA as they have served in various other leadership roles within our organization and their passion and commitment is unwavering."

The APAPA National Governing Board is the governing entity for APAPA, providing strategic planning, support and resources for the national headquarters team and chapters across the country.

Henry has served as Senior Advisor to U.S. Representative Ro Khanna, who represents the South Bay Area. Since 2020, Henry has served as President of APAPA’s U.S.-China Trade Committee. In 2010, he received a gubernatorial appointment to serve as a Commissioner on the California Commission for Economic Development, a bipartisan advisory board on economic development issues. From 2004-2005, he served as Chairman of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and is the founder and President of the USA-China Link which is an organization he formed in 2002.

Irene Li joins the APAPA NGB as a new board member and currently serves as the President of the Peninsula APAPA Chapter. She is the President and CEO of Acellent Technologies, Inc., a leading technology company. Li also spent seven years at Hewlett-Packard most recently as a Global Program Manager overseeing internet security and monitoring. The National Taipei University has recognized Li as a distinguished alum where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Planning. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University
