Town Hall Mental Health Forum: Understanding Mood Disorders
On Tuesday, October 10th, APAPA GSC collaborated with OCA Sacramento to organize a town hall mental health forum on mood disorders and how it affects our mental health. The forum featured a panel of health professionals and local mental health advocates who discussed various topics related to mood disorders. Attendees were invited to ask questions and participate in open discussion about the issues presented.
APAPA Youth Leadership Academy
The APAPA Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) program is focused on developing civically engaged leaders who want to make a difference in the civic life of our communities. Participants can choose between four programs in which they will receive a lectures and activities on topics ranging from personal development, leadership, civic engagement and career path planning. YLA is a great opportunity to meet experts in various career fields, network with professionals, and develop your personal and leadership skills. And, it's free!
Speech and Debate Camp
Youth Leadership Academy Event | August 12, 2023
Recently, we organized a speech and debate camp lead by Youth Leaders Avanti Ramraj, Ilan Sankar, Pranav Pradeep, Sarah Yee, Kimberly Song, and Shreeya Ram.
Local middle school and high school students gained tips from top speech and debate students and coaches from Stanford University, Granite Bay High School, Mira Loma High School, Folsom High School, and Oakridge High School!
College Preparation Workshop
Youth Leadership Academy Event | July 15, 2023
Our chapter hosted a college preparation workshop for aspiring college applicants. We coached students on how to write standout essays, personal statements, and responses to the University of California’s personal insight questions. Other topics included resume building and interview coaching.

Youth Leadership Academy Event | June 17, 2023
We, in partnership with our APAPA Davis Chapter hosted an empowering workshop on Saturday, June 17th. From 9AM to 4PM, young high school visionaries gathered to learn from experts about the privilege of leadership. Together, we’re building a future where boundaries are erased and young leaders thrive.
