Lucy Oback, APAPA President & CEOLucy Tang Oback is currently APAPA's Statewide President and a Member of the Executive Board. She has been serving in that role since 2008. Lucy is also Chair of APAPA-CEF's Internship and Scholarship Program and Vice-Chair of the Voter’s Education & Candidate Forum.

In July 2012, Lucy begins a new role as Chief Executive Officer for APAPA-Statewide. As CEO, Lucy has a vision to grow APAPA, reach out, and serve Asian and Pacific Islanders across America. Lucy says she feels blessed to have a strong Board and team of hard working Executive Officers. APAPA could not be what it is today without the hard work of so many friends, supporters, and corporate sponsors.

In 2011 before a packed auditorium, Lucy was honored to receive a community "Difference Maker Award" at a city-wide Martin Luther King Jr. event in Sacramento.

In 2005, Lucy joined the Ong Ko Met Association and has served for several years as Vice President. Lucy has served on the Executive Board of the Asian Pacific State Employees Association (APSEA). She was 2nd Vice President for fiscal year 2004-05 and 1st Vice President for 2005-06.

Lucy is a Tax Administrator I for the State of California in the Employment Development Department (EDD). Lucy has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. She is a native of Sacramento, the daughter of Wayne and Connie Tang who immigrated from China in 1957. She lives in Elk Grove with her husband, John Oback.
