Sokontheara (Sokie) Hul earned a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from San Jose State University. As a business major with a marketing concentration, Sokie was very interested in exploring the different fields of marketing before entering the workforce. After graduation, she interned with Moroch, an advertising agency in Sacramento with clients such as McDonald’s, Coca Cola and FedEx, to name a few. In 2011, Sokie joined APAPA as an Office Assistant and quickly rose to being the organization’s Operations Director at its national headquarters in Sacramento. She has been volunteering since high school, but it was her work with APAPA where her passion for leadership, community service and civic engagement developed. In her spare time, Sokie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, discovering new music, and exploring new foods and cultures.
